New openings are now available for girl campers at Camp Wildwood, South Carolina’s premier conservation education camp for high school students. Camp organizers are also maintaining a waitlist for boy campers.

The newly available spots are expected to fill quickly. Registration information is available at Camp Wildwood.

The 2026 session of Camp Wildwood will be held June 21–27, 2026, at Kings Mountain State Park. The camp is open to rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students and is designed to help develop the next generation of conservation leaders in South Carolina. Tuition is $300 for the week, making it one of the most affordable residential camps in the state.

Camp Wildwood introduces students to South Carolina’s wildlife and natural resources while promoting responsible stewardship, leadership development, and outdoor skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Campers participate in hands-on instruction led by professional natural resource staff in areas such as wildlife, fisheries, forestry, hunter education, firearm safety, first aid, and orienteering. Traditional camp activities - including swimming, fishing, kickball, nightly dances, and Porterball, Camp Wildwood’s signature sport - are also part of the experience.

Camp Wildwood is made possible through the support of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Hampton Wildlife Fund, South Carolina Wildlife Federation, and Garden Clubs of South Carolina.
