A South Carolina State Trooper was airlifted to hospital after being struck during a traffic stop on I-85.
South Carolina Department of Public Safety says Corporal Wilkins pulled over a car for speeding on interstate 85 near the 101 marker in Blacksburg County. During the stop another vehicle collided with the trooper and the speeding suspect.
Wilkins was airlifted to the hospital with non-life threating injuries. No word on the speeder’s condition and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
