How did you get into radio? Started as a part timer weekend DJ at WEAM in Washington, DC at age 15 while in high school.
How long have you been at this station? I have been at WORD since June of 2006.
How long have you lived in Greenville, SC? Since November, 2002.
Where else have you worked? Many legendary Top 40 stations in the “Golden Age” of rock and roll, the 60’s and 70’s. Markets include New York City, Washington, DC, Dallas, Memphis, Sacramento, San Francisco, Phoenix and more. Worked in TV for 20 years as a sportscaster, weather caster and news anchor.
What are some community events you are involved in? Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon for Primsa Health Children’s Hospital Upstate, Meals on Wheels and First Tee golf program. --
What do you like most about the business? Talking with people about significant issues every day.--
What do you think listeners like most about you? I don’t talk down to listeners and welcome callers with a differing view. I allow people time to have their say.
When he's not talking about the issues that affect you, Bobby Mc is probably on the golf course or piddling around the house with his "Baby Doll" Brenda and their West Highland White Terrier Megan.
