Each year the South Carolina Broadcasters Association presents its STAR Awards to outstanding members stations in several different categories recognizing achievement in radio or television programming.
106.3 WORD (WYRD-FM) along with our sister Audacy stations in the Greenville/Spartanburg market are members and have been nominated for several awards at this year's presentation.
Morning Show Host Tara Servatius has been nominated for Radio Personality of the Year as well as Best News Talk Show for Radio and the entire 106.3 WORD team has been nominated for Radio Station of the Year.
Other nominations include our Public Service Campaign promoting Covid-19 protocols with US Representative Jeff Duncan and US Senator Tim Scott and the 106.3 WORD News Staff has been nominated for Best Pandemic Related Service to the Community.
Audacy stations Classic Rock 101.1 (WROQ-FM), B93.7 (WFBC-FM) and ESPN Upstate (WYRD-AM) have also been nominated for awards.
The SCBA will announce the winners at the STAR Awards banquet in Columbia this Saturday.
