The death toll now stands at two in at an apartment shooting in Greenwood. The shooting happened early Tuesday morning just 1:30AM, as man and another woman were getting into a vehicle at the Cardinal Glenn Apartments in Greenwood.
A suspect fired into the vehicle striking a man and woman who both taken to a hospital before police arrived. The woman was pregnant and survived the shooting, but the unborn child died. The man was treated for a gunshot, but he also died Wednesday morning at the hospital.
The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 24-year-old Gabriel Goode from Greenwood. The suspect, 21-year-old Javier Williams, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon and charged with murder. A judge Tuesday told Williams during a court appearance, that he could be facing the death penalty.
