Celebrating America's birthday starts early in a couple of Upstate communities!
The City of Greer hosts its Freedom Blast Festival, marking both Greer's 150th birthday and America's 250th.

Opening ceremonies begin Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 6 p.m. downtown, followed by live music, a rib-eating contest and fireworks at 10.
GREER, SC – Skydivers, fireworks, and a touching tribute to America’s military are among the highlights of a spectacular lineup at this year’s Freedom Blast event in the City of Greer. Freedom Blast will take over Greer City Park and surrounding streets on Saturday, June 27 beginning at 6 p.m. The festival, entertainment, and parking are free, but attendees can pay for access to a Kids Zone with amusement rides and purchase food, drinks, and merchandise throughout the event. Meanwhile, Williamston's Freedom Festival features a full day of activities, including a
Freedom Market, patriotic golf cart parade, tethered hot air balloon rides, live music and a fireworks finale on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
