An Asheville man has pleaded guilty to a charge of 2nd degree murder after a shooting there four years ago. The suspect Rodnee Rayshaun Bowman was 17 years old when the shooting happened at an Asheville Complex.
Bowman was charged with shooting and killing 24 year old, Jailyn Morton. The victim died after being transported to Mission Hospital after being shot in the chest. Investigators say a fight at the Hillcrest Apartments led to the shooting.
Bowman will serve a sentence of between 12 and 15 years in the North Carolina Department Of Corrections.
