An Upstate police department has made a gruesome discovery after receiving an anonymous tip. The Spartanburg PD says, a tipster led them to find human remains in a wooded area on Haynes Street, near the railroad tracks, around 8 AM Wednesday.
Investigators have been on the scene working to collect evidence. As of 10 AM Wednesday, They say it's still too early in the investigation to know whether foul play was involved in the death. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not yet identified the body that was found.
