A bomb threat Tuesday afternoon shutdown a retail store in Western North Carolina. The Waynesville Police Department responded to the Walmart at Town Center.
Police arrived and evacuated the store and a search ensued. No credible threat was found and the store re-opened to the public around 5PM.
The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office assisted providing a bomb sniffing dog to help with the search. No arrests have been announced in the case, as of the time of this report.
