The caregiver of an elderly woman on the North Carolina coast is facing charges after the woman was found dead, last month. Officials in Swansboro North Carolina say, 84 year old Katy Hiatt was reported missing in January, after last being seen in October.
Her body was found wrapped up multiple times and stuffed in a box at a storage facility, in the neighboring county in June. Hiatt's live-in caregiver Angela Angle was arrested in West Virginia, after Hiatt's body was found. Arrest warrants claim Angle did not report Hiatt's death.
Hiatt's son reported her missing after her caregiver refused to let him see or speak to his mother. Angle was in court Friday and was given a bond of 500,000. There's no word yet on when she is due back in court.
