Spartanburg County Animal Control is asking for the public's help identifying two people after a dog was abandoned in the Moore community. Investigators say surveillance video captured a dark-colored Kia Soul stopping at the intersection of Victory Lane and Silver Dapper Way just before midnight last Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The video shows two people getting out of the vehicle, tying a yellow Labrador-type dog to a stop sign, leaving behind an unopened bag of dog food, water, a collar and a leash, then driving away. The Agency says the dog, described as friendly, is safe and receiving care at the Spartanburg County Pet Resource Center.
