The Greenville Municipal Court building is set to go on the market in the near future. The City Of Greenville says, they plan to put the building up for sale, as they plan to move into a new building.
The new complex will be on Halton Road and will be the future site of the municipal court, police station and fire department's administrative offices. The current building is over 75 years old and the city has outgrown the original building.
Officials say, the location on North Main Street has electrical and HVAC issues, it also presents challenges with having enough parking. The new building is expected to have 400 plus parking spots.
The City Of Greenville will seek a commercial broker to help sell the building, they hope to move into the new location some time next year.
