The Board of Trustees at Clemson University has named a new Interim President. The announcement comes just a day after University President James Clements announced that he will retire at the end of this month.
The Board has named Provost Bob Jones as the Interim President. He is a two time graduate of Clemson and has been working at the University for over a decade.
Jones is not affiliated with Bob Jones University in Greenville. He will begin his term as President in January. The University will be establishing a search committee to find a permanent replacement for Clements.
