The woman charged in a crash near Folly Beach that killed one person and injured three others has pleaded guilty and has been sentenced to prison.
Jamie Lee Komorksi pleaded guilty to charges of fatal DUI and reckless homicide after she crashed her vehicle into a golf cart in April of 2023. The crash killed newly wed bride Samantha Miller on her wedding night and injured her husband and two others.
Police say Komorski's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit. The surviving husband has also filed a civil suit claiming that Komorski had been overserved at a local establishment.
Komorski has been sentenced to serve 25 years in prison as her sentences will run concurrently.
