South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers said a suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of a woman in a Thursday evening crash on Piedmont Golf Course Road in Piedmont.
The crash happened Thursday evening just after 6:30 when the driver of a car ran off the road and overturned before hitting a tree.
The passenger, 39-year-old Markida Nekendra Blassingame, died at the scene.
Travis Robinson was arrested in connection to the fatal crash and charged with Driving Under the Influence Resulting in Death, Driving Under Suspension, Habitual Offender, and an alcohol violation.
