It was a "House Divided" as the proceeding got contentious at Tuesday night's Greenville County Council meeting. There was an item on the agenda concerning the rezoning of a property on Griffin Mill Road.
Council Vice Chair Dan Tripp represents that district and requested a hold be put on the item until he could meet with the property owner. That motion was denied in a split decision 6-6. One of those 6 votes came from against came from Council Member Ennis Fant, who Tripp said agreed with holding the item just a day prior.
That sparked a verbal joust back and forth between the two, which can be heard below.
Later in the meeting, the rezoning proposal was denied on another 6-6 split decision.
