An upstate man has died after a medical emergency while in jail. 31 year old Joshua Wayne Barbare of Travelers Rest was being held in the Pickens County Detention Center.
EMS responded to the jail on April 25 when went into cardiac arrest. CPR was performed and he was taken to Prisma-Health Greenville, where he died on Tuesday.
The Coroner's Office and SLED are investigating the death.
