A minor in Western North Carolina is facing charges after bringing a gun to a high school football game there, Friday.
The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says a School Resource Officer was working a football game at Erwin High when they located a juvenile with a firearm.
The juvenile was taken into custody and the gun was seized. The minor is charged with bringing a weapon on school grounds. There's been no word on whether the juvenile was a student at Erwin.
The minor has been taken to the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice facility.
