A story as old as Kane versus Abel has unfolded in modern day, as a Midlands man is charged with killing his own brother. The Sumter County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at a home there, just before 11:30 PM. Tuesday. When deputies arrived they found a man inside the home, that been shot.
The victim died in the shooting, he's been identified as 40 year old, Markus Burroughs. Investigators say, the suspect Randy Lowery is the victim's brother. Lowrey has been charged with murder and a weapons violation. The Sheriff's Office reports that a domestic dispute led to the shooting.
