The man found dead in the middle of a street in Downtown Greenville has now been identified.
As we previously reported, the Greenville Police Department responded to the area of Dean and Dunbar Streets, around 6:30 Friday morning.
A person who was passing by saw the man's body in the road and called to report it. When police arrived they found the man face down in the middle of the street.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office has identified as 67 year old, Steven Cobb. Officials say, Cobb lived less than 5 minutes away from where his body was found.
Cobb's death is being investigated as a suspicious death.
