An inmate went missing earlier this week after they were reported to have walked away from an assigned work detail at the Anderson County Detention Center.
An investigation was launched after a headcount that evening, and the missing inmate, identified as James H. Cobb, was located and detained earlier this morning in Greenville.
Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride thanked the SC Department of Corrections, the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division and the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the matter.
Cobb is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting return to the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
