The cause of death for a woman found dead in Western North Carolina, last week has been revealed. As we previously reported, a woman was found dead in the 700 block of Old Mars Hill Highway, near the Buncombe/Madison County Line around 7AM Friday.
The victim has been identified as 45 year old, Teresa Davis. She was found near the roadway and autopsy results show that she died after being hit by a vehicle.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol has taken the lead in the investigation. No arrests have been announced and no further details have been made available, at this time.
