A man charged with an upstate woman's murder has died. 39 year old Michael Clarkson was being held in the Greenville County Detention Center charged with the May 28th murder of a Travelers Rest woman whose body was found at her home.
Detention Center staff found Clarkson in critical condition in his cell Friday. He was taken to a hospital for treatment where he died on Saturday.
The coroner's office said the cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy is scheduled for Monday. SLED is also investigating the incident.
