One person is dead and a suspect is in custody after a shooting at a Midlands Walmart. The Sumter County Coroner's Office responded to a reported shooting at the Walmart on Broad Street, Friday afternoon.
The victim, 24 year old Jaquante Montgomery of Sumter was found dead, after being shot multiple times. The Sumter Police Department says the suspect 19 year old, Chanceler Lowery was turned in by his parents the same day of the shooting.
Investigators say the two men had an ongoing beef and a fight led to the shooting.
