
Well over half a million South Carolinians participated in the state's 1st ever early voting period. The state reports, that more than 560,000 people voted between October 24th when early voting opened and this past Saturday when it closed.

Greenville County had the 3rd largest turnout in the state and the largest in the Upstate with just under 50,000 people voting early. Spartanburg County was 2nd in turnout for the Upstate with over 27,000. Anderson County had just over 14,500. Pickens County was next with over 11,000 and Oconee County rounded out the Upstate's top 5 with with over 8,800.
After that top 5 group, Greenwood came in with around 6,300, Cherokee County was around 3,600, Laurens just over 3,400, Abbeville County with just under 2,400 and Union County at 2,150. The midterm election is Tuesday, stay tuned to 106.3 WORD for coverage and results Tuesday night.
