Two children have been hospitalized and their parents are facing charges after an incident at an Upstate. The Mauldin Police Department responded to a home on Cranberry Hill Circle just after 1PM, Sunday.
When police arrived they found a three year old girl unresponsive. Officers also found a one year old boy inside the home as well. Investigators say both children were malnourished, underweight and neglected.
1st responders were able to get a pulse back on the three year old. Both children were taken to a hospital and are said to be in critical condition.
The children's mother 22 year old, Ryan Addison Vassallo and the father 23 year old, Demarion Jaquez Sloan are both charged with two counts of unlawful conduct towards a child.
