The Oconee County Sheriff's Office has charged 25 year old David Delgado, Jr., of Philadelphia, PA, with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.
The charges stems from the shooting death of a woman Tuesday on S. Gate Drive near Seneca. The victim's body was found on Porsche Lane and Wells Highway Tuesday afternoon.
Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says that they believe the woman was killed Monday. The Sheriff's Office says, Delgado had been staying with the woman at her residence.
An arrest warrant states Delgado shot the victim at the home with a n AR-15 rifle and dumped her body on the roadway. Delgado, Jr. is currently in custody at the Chesterfield (VA) County Jail.
The identity of the victim is expected to be released Wednesday.
