A nonprofit healthcare system based in North Carolina to bring a new hospital to Greenville.
Novant Health plans to build their 1st hospital in the area. The new facility would be on the city's Eastside in the medical district at Patewood Drive and 385.
Novant purchased a 2 and a half acre plot of land in that area last year for a reported 17 million dollars. The new hospital would be nearly 80,000 square feet.
The project would require approval from state regulators. Officials from Novant Health say, if approved, the new hospital is expected to open in early 2027.
