Police in Gaffney are dispelling rumors about an officer involved shooting during a burglary incident, Sunday night. The Gaffney Police Department responded to the Eastside Saveway convenience store just after 11PM.
When officers arrived they found the suspect trying to exit through a door that had been shattered. 19 year old, Gavin Tray King was then apprehended. He's charged with 2nd degree burglary and property damage.
The Department says there were rumors on social media that an officer involved shooting took place during the incident. However, those rumors were false.
