South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined the Tara Show Wednesday morning to refute claims about him and his office that were made my Congresswoman Nancy Mace.
Since Mace went in her words "scorched earth" in her speech on the house floor Monday night, AG Alan Wilson has responded. He stated in the interview with Tara that Mace's opinion of him has flip-flopped in a matter of a month.
Wilson said "Four weeks ago, she said I was a hero for protecting women and I was a real man. Now, she's saying that I'm not a real man and I don't protect women. This person is all over the map".
Neither Wilson or Mace have officially announced runs for Governor, however Wilson did elude to it in the interview and claims Mace's comments towards him may be politically motivated.
Wilson said "You can attack me because you want to be Governor. You can attack me because you think I'm an impediment to that. That's fine, that's just politics. But for God's sake, don't undermine law enforcement and the people who are working to bring justice to so many people."
SLED has confirmed they have been investigating some of Mace's claims for over a year now.
