Press Release from the Simpsonville Police Department:
Simpsonville, S.C. — The Simpsonville Police Department has arrested a Simpsonville man and woman in connection with the death of a juvenile.
Jerry A. Robinson, 34, and Ariel S. Robinson, 29, were arrested and each charged by Simpsonville police on Tuesday with homicide by child abuse. Both suspects are being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.

Simpsonville police responded to an address on Sellwood Circle at around 2:25 p.m. on Thursday in reference to an unresponsive juvenile victim. The victim was later pronounced dead after being taken to Prisma Hospital.
With the assistance of the S.C. Law Enforcement Division and Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Simpsonville police determined through investigation the victim’s death was the direct result of physical abuse.
Homicide by child abuse carries a sentence of 20 years up to life in prison.
