An arrest has been announced following a string of burglaries at Upstate businesses. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says, that at least 6 businesses in the Asheville Highway area of the county were robbed, earlier this month.
A suspect, Jerry Lee Wise was arrested last week and is accused in all 6 of the robberies and faces a list of charges in connection to the series of burglaries
He's being held in Spartanburg County and additional charges are pending, as the Property Crimes Unit continues their investigation.
The Sheriff's Office reminds community business owners to lock their doors and windows and secure any money when they close for the day. They also recommend installing security lights and high-def cameras.
