Three suspects are at large after running from police following an armed robbery at an Upstate convenience store. The Greer Police Department says they were contacted by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office around 7:30 Sunday morning, regarding a robbery in their jurisdiction.
Shortly after that, an officer with the Greer PD spotted the suspect vehicle at the Hot Spot on Hammett Bridge Road in Greer. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop but the suspects fled down Highway 14 towards I-85 and the officer lost sight of the vehicle. The Greer PD says they then learned that the Hot Spot was robbed shortly before their arrived in the area.
The incident report says two men and a woman robbed the store while armed with handguns. The bandits took cash and merchandise in the hold up but thankfully no one was hurt. The Greer PD says they are working with the Sheriff's Offices in Spartanburg and Greenville Counties to investigate the store robbery.
