A teenager is dead and two others are injured after a Memorial Day crash in Anderson County,. The single-car crash happened around 12:30AM Monday on Five Forks Road in Pendleton.
Troopers say the driver, who was carrying two passengers, veered off the road and hit a tree. The impact killed 16-year-old Spencer James Martin, who was riding in the front seat. He was pronounced at the scene, two others were injured in the crash.
The Highway Patrol and the Anderson County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate. The cause of the collision has not yet been released. Martin was a student at Pendleton High School.
