An Upstate teenager is dead after being shot by a family member. The Greenville Police Department responded to a reported shooting around 11 PM Wednesday night, on Dime Street in Greenville's Nicholtown Community.
Investigators say 16 year old Tyjevous Nasir Jones was shot in the in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A relative of the victim, Tycorje Malique Jones was arrested in the shooting and is charged with murder and a weapons violation.
Arrest warrants say that the suspect admitted to the crime when questioned. There's been no details on what led to the shooting.
