A man wanted for murder in Georgia, is now in custody after a traffic stop in the Upstate, Wednesday evening. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says they were notified of a wanted suspect reportedly traveling in a tractor-trailer. Deputies found the truck traveling northbound on I-85.
Deputies then performed a strategic traffic stop and were able to box in the tractor-trailer on the interstate. The suspect 43 year old, Andrew Montgomery was wanted for murder in Cobb County. He was taken into custody at gunpoint during the stop.
Montgomery is currently being held in Anderson County, awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
