A Western North Carolina man will spend less than 5 years in prison after shooting into a house there. Court records say, James Robert Wyerman pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied house, and possession of a stolen gun.
The charges came after a shooting on Poverty Branch Road in Buncombe County. Deputies responded and found gunfire damage to the home after Wyerman fired multiple shots, but no injuries were reported.
Wyerman was arrested just a couple of hours later. He's set to serve between a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.
