The woman who died after falling from a hiking trail in Western North Carolina has been identified. As we previously reported, first responders were dispatched to Big Bradley Falls in Polk County over the weekend.
Upon arrival, a woman was found dead after falling more than 70 feet from the hiking trail there. The woman has now been identified as 29 year old, Astrid Angelina Madrid Ticas.
Her death marks at least the 7th fatal incident at Big Bradley Falls over the last 25 years.
