Governor Henry McMaster held a virtual press conference ahead of Hurricane Idalia’s arrival in South Carolina.
During the presser, McMaster said that no evacuation orders or government office closures are being issued but that heavy winds and especially rain are still expected, especially in the low country.
He continued to urge South Carolinians to remain indoors and stay safe.
Flash flood watches have also been issued in various counties across the state.
