In an announcement early Thursday afternoon, the Attorney General's Office announced the scheduling of the murder trial of disbarred lowcountry attorney Alex Murdaugh.
Murdaugh was charged earlier this year following a year-long investigation into the deaths of his wife and son at the family's lake-side home.
Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that Murdaugh's trial for these deaths will begin at the beginning of next year on January 30th, 2023.
The trial is expected to last three weeks, until February 17th and will take place at the Colleton County Courthouse.
