NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is battling the coronavirus and he revealed some frightening details about what he’s been going through.

“This virus came at me, I’ve never seen anything like it,” Cuomo said, adding that his fever spiked to 103 degrees.

“It was like somebody was beating me like a piñata,” he said. “I was shivering so much…I chipped my tooth.”

He said he was even hallucinating—seeing old friends and his late father, former Gov. Mario Cuomo.

“The sun comes up. I’m awake. I was up all night. I’m telling you, I was hallucinating,” Cuomo said. “My dad was talking to me. I was seeing people from college, people I hadn’t seen in forever. It was freaky what I lived through last night. And it might happen again tonight. The doctor says it might happen like five to eight times.”

Staffers have been encouraging Cuomo to take a night off as he battles the virus.

At his daily coronavirus press briefing Wednesday, Cuomo’s older brother, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, said he was worried about his brother following his diagnosis.

“I’m frightened for my brother. I’m worried about my brother as everyone is worried about everyone in their family and everyone they love,” Cuomo said.
