The body of President Trump's brother Robert Trump, who died last Friday at 71, will be driven from New York to Washington for a private funeral to be held Friday at the White House, ABC News first reported Thursday night.
Two hundred people have been invited to the funeral, but it is unclear how many will attend, ABC News reported, citing sources familiar with the arrangements.
The service is expected to take place in the White House's East Room.
The president -- who visited Robert at a Manhattan hospital the day before his death -- is personally covering the costs of the funeral.
Trump called Robert his "best friend" in a statement.
The last time a dead body was transported to the White House for a funeral was in November 1963 following the assassination of for President John F. Kennedy, according to ABC News.
