I was that obnoxious child who walked around with hair brushes as makeshift microphones pretending to be a news reporter to anyone patient enough to listen. In high school, I worked with our local TV news station on the path to become a reporter... but, life never goes the way we plan and I am so thankful it didn't. My passion really changed in college as I got the chance to host my own show on the collegiate radio station at Georgia Southern University. Being able to make people laugh and have callers join in the conversation was something I looked forward to during every show.
I grew up in Effingham County, GA with an incredibly supportive family. No matter how big my dreams were, my parents were always right there to cheer my accomplishments or pick me up after the failures. They raised me with an unwavering faith that everything will get better, even when it’s an uphill battle.
Growing up playing sports pretty much year round helped me to become competitive and tough. At the same time, I love fashion and shopping - I can go from muddy cleats to a cute dress and heels in minutes... okay fine, an hour.
I’m married to a (thankfully) patient man who has stuck by me during the wild ups and downs of radio life for nearly a decade. Together we have a rescue pup named Kodah who is really more of a Garfield than Lassie.
In 2018, I teamed up with local shelters and created a donation drive called ‘In The Clutch’ to help women of domestic abuse. The community fills gently used handbags, bookbags, etc. with femine hygiene items and drops them off at designated locations, I distribute them to shelters right here in the upstate! https://www.facebook.com/intheclutchUS
