Getting pulled over can be a nerve-racking experience for anyone, but for Jacob Hudson, it’s especially scary.

The 7-year-old was driving with his mom Adrianne when she was pulled over. He immediately started panicking because of his anxiety disorder.

"My son has an autoimmune disorder called PANDAS," said Adrianne, "where he exhibits high levels of anxiety. This officer didn’t know that. He just went above and beyond to make a child feel safe."

Officer Adam Hamilton of the McKinney Police Department in Texas noticed the boy shaking and asking if he wanted to take a look at the police car to help calm him down.

The cops even let Jacob get a picture by the car and made sure to shake his hand before he left.

"My son has been playing law enforcement since getting pulled over," she said. "Talking about officer Hamilton and how that night changed his life. "

Now when Jacob sees an officer, he’ll always remember his run-in with the kind officer.
