This is the moment a mother first saw her new tattoo -- a permanent connection to her late father.
The tattoo, which says ‘I love you Shug – Dad,’ honors David Horton who passed away fifteen years ago.
Tracy Horton and his granddaughter Tiffany still miss the man who served in the military, worked as a truck driver and had 13 grandchildren (and now three great-grandchildren) constantly. So Tiffany wanted to surprise her mom with a tattoo to help her keep his memory close. In a blog post on Love What Matters, Tiffany says, "I sent my mom to get a tattoo, and she was to turn her head and not look until he was done... She trusts me way too much sometimes, but this time, it paid off. I sent my mom to get her tattoo and her reaction was priceless."
The tattoo is even written in the style of David's handwriting.
With his words forever in their hearts, they are now a visible reminder that he is always with them.
