2020 Star Restaurants Announced

2020 Star Restaurants Announced

Despite challenges during COVID-19 recovery, more than 90 restaurants around the Metroplex participated in DFW Restaurant Week 2020, donating a reduced 10 percent (vs. usual 20 percent) of the price of each prix fixe lunch or dinner purchased to NTFB (Dallas area restaurants) and Lena Pope (Tarrant area restaurants). Of the total $182,844 raised, NTFB received $133,746 and Lena Pope received $49,098. Total includes an $8,400 charitable donation from Audacy.

“Prior to the pandemic, DFW Restaurant Week had been our largest annual fundraiser raising a record-breaking $1 million in 2019 – including over $710,900 for NTFB that helped us provide more than 2 million meals for hungry North Texans. Last year, with many just trying to stay in business, we were honored to help the loyal restaurants that have supported our mission for years by reducing the percentage of proceeds in half that we normally would have received,” said NTFB President & CEO Trisha Cunningham. “We are very grateful to the restaurants who were able to take part and the diners who continued to dine-out or take-out for a good cause!”
