USAToday just released a story about information gather by The Environment America Research and Policy Center. They looked at the number of days in 2018 that diffreent water sites had bacteria counts exceeding Environmental Protection Agency standards, which can potentially sicken swimmers.
Gross.

-Sanders Beach, Escambia (23 unsafe days, 64 samples)
-Crandon Park on Key Biscayne, Miami-Dade (17 unsafe days, 63 samples)
-Bird Key Park, Sarasota (17 unsafe days, 67 samples)
-Venice Fishing Pier, Sarasota (15 unsafe days, 64 samples)
I'll be staying on the east side of the state for a while.
