Ariana Grande speaks out on mental health, 'normalizing asking for help'

During Mental Health Awareness month, Ariana Grande has been outspoken when it comes to her beliefs surrounding our mental well-being.

The Popstar took to Instagram on Sunday to share a list of mental health resources while also encouraging her fans to be open about mental health issues. Ari captioned her post, “here’s to ending the stigma around mental health and normalizing asking for help.”

She adds, “healing isn’t linear, fun, quick, or at all easy but we are here and we’ve got to commit to making this time as healthy, peaceful, and beautiful as possible. the work is so hard but we are capable and worth it. sending so much love and strength.”

In the informational slides that are included in her post, there is information included for many mental health and substance abuse hotlines, as well as Black mental health resources, resources for the LGBTQ+ community, Lantix resources, AAPI resources, and Indigenous mental health information.

Additionally, the Positions artist has committed to sharing one post a week throughout May in order to bring attention to Mental Health Awareness month.
