During a talk with RADIO.COM, Alessia Cara touched on her experience with going to therapy and opened up on mental health. Although it might take longer for some than others to get out of their own heads, Cara knows it’s worth it to try and take care of ourselves one day at a time.
”I definitely want to reach as many people as I can whether they’re dealing with mental illness or even if they’re just dealing with a weird period in their life,” Cara said.
Cara stresses the importance of talking to someone and that is why she joined us for our “I’m Listening” initiative.
RADIO.COM’s I’m Listening initiative aims to encourage those who are dealing with mental health issues to understand they are not alone. If you or anyone you know is struggling with depression or anxiety, know that someone is always there. Additionally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-273-8255.
