The use of AI in the workforce has been met with great trepidation and criticism, so how do we feel about it in our schools?

Alpha School, an AI-powered school that first opened in Austin is preparing to open its second location this fall in Plano.

At the school, core academics are covered in just two hours.  With the rest of the time, the school's co-founder MacKenzie Price told prospective parents at an information session students instead focus on learning life and tech skills "thanks to the power of artificial intelligence."

Price told NBC DFW, "What's really incredible about artificial intelligence coming into the educational system is that it finally enables us to provide one-to-one personalized learning for each student that meets them exactly where they need to be met."

The school will open to kindergarten through third graders in August.
